Slow-Cooker Oatmeal with Dried Cherries

Ingredients

5 cup(s) hot water

1 1/4 cup(s) (do not use rolled oats or quick-cooking oats) uncooked steel cut oats

1/3 cup(s) , chopped dried cherries

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp table salt

Directions

Stir water, steel-cut oats, chopped dried cherries, honey, cinnamon, and salt in a 4- to 5 1/2-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 7 hours. (The porridge can keep on warm setting for 1 hour.)
